When her husband died, Rita endowed the Scholarship, “What a great way to honor my late husband while also helping a student at my beloved alma mater.”
The mission of the scholarship is “to help those in need help themselves, through the practical application of knowledge and resources that improve the quality of their lives and the lives of future generations.”
The purpose of their Scholarship is “to help a caring young person achieve their dream of being a nurse. Working in medicine is such an important gift that God bestows on special people. We hope our scholarship will help one of them become a nurse, so that they can help other people get well.”
