Grants are free money do not need to be repaid and are awarded based on need.
Federal Pell Grant. You must complete a FAFSA to determine eligibility for a Federal Pell Grant. The Federal Pell Grant is awarded by the federal government. Students do not need to be full time in order to receive a Federal Pell Grant. Amounts range from $0-$11,092 for an award year. The Federal Pell Grant carries a LEU (Lifetime Eligibility Used) of 6 full-time years or 12 semesters.
Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (SEOG). You must complete a FAFSA to determine eligibility for SEOG. SEOG is a federal grant that is awarded by GSC. Limited funds are available each award year and are given on first come first serve need basis. Amounts range from $0-$800 for an award year.
Ohio College Opportunity Grant (OCOG). You must complete a FAFSA prior to Oct 1st to determine eligibility. OCOG is awarded by the state of Ohio. Students do not need to be full-time in order to receive OCOG. Students must be enrolled in an undergraduate degree program and be a resident of the state of Ohio. Amounts range from $0-$5000 for an award year. OCOG is limited to 5 full-time years or 10 Semesters/15 quarters of eligibility.
